The time has come to say goodbye to an old friend.

I have a 2011 GTV300 in Portofino Green.
Hand tooled Italian Leather seat, and smoke wind deflector.
I added the topcase and crash bars.

Loved since the day I rode her out of the dealership.
Approximately 16,000 miles
Garaged when not riding.
Runs like a top!

Have looked everywhere, but cannot find a resource that will tell me how much my scooter is worth.
Does anyone know how much it is worth?

JD Powers won't tell you where you can buy a clean GTV for $1700, but it's the same place they say you can buy a 2010 Dyna Wide Glide for $5000.

$3-4K is about right, depending on the market. It's not a bad color, and you've kept it up really well.
Try to list it before Christmas, but if it doesn't sell before the first of the year, wait until tax time, because that's when people have cash to spend.

Thanks!
I was in a dealership about a month ago, and saw the new GTV300's on the floor. The difference was astounding.
They want $9,000 for it.
The color is dull, and it doesn't have personality.
I am hoping some college student will be interested. It would make a great scooter for any campus.

Thanks! Much appreciated.
I am guessing that is what a dealership will probably offer. I will try my hand at selling it myself first.

It's what a bank will lend if they finance that make, model and year. That and your downpayment is how much the bike will cost.
I can't see you bike going for $1700 at a wholesale auction. It's just too clean. A dealer could easily get $4K for it. See if the dealer will do a consignment, and take 30% of what they get for it. Dealers are always looking for clean new bikes.

Try on Fleabay set a minimum price of 3.5k and see what happens, my thinking it will get snapped up quickly.

Facebook Marketplace and Cycletrader, along with eBay are probably your best places to gauge value. FB Marketplace pricing has a pretty wide range sometimes and this is not a good time of year to try to sell a two wheeler in the upper midwest US.

It looks like your scoot is in good shape and you have good accessories. But given the age (13 years old) and the mileage (16K miles), you're probably looking at about $3K to $3300. At that price, you might get some takers. If you're willing to hold onto it until March, you might get takers at $3500.

If you are looking to sell that in Iowa now, maybe $1,900. If you wait until mid-June, maybe $2,900.. You might squeak out low 3ks. The price of used Vespas has come back to earth the last couple of years. You don't really know what it is worth until you have someone opening their wallet in your driveway.
We have a consignment only shop here in Denver. They offer a bunch of financing for people who don't want to buy from a private party. They get top dollar for their bikes. I've had friends sell through them who walk away with more cash than if they had sold it on their own. Added benefit, it frees up your garage space now.

That's an interesting business concept. What's the name of the shop?
I would be interested in seeing what their cut is, and how they arrive at a price the seller agrees to. There's a lot to be said for not having to purchase your inventory.

How much more will a dealer typically add on to that price before it leaves the shop, or is the $9124 the OTD number?

I believe that the Denver consignment shop you mentioned is likely where Trixie bought her Triumph Speedmaster several years ago, we drove down there from Rapid City with a trailer for it. It was a very good deal relatively, and she still has it.

I am unsure.
We paid MSRP for ours back in 2011. I am assuming the price is MSRP for the 2024.
It is a very nice shop,,,, I am not looking down my nose at the shop, but wondering what about his particular model warrants 9K?

We purchased my scooter from Erico Motorsports in Denver. Since then I have had it serviced a few times at SPORTIQUE Scooters. They are nice folks,,and the Denver Biscuit Company is right across the street !

I usually look at the Kelley Blue Book for motorcycles and NADA motorcyle prices for ballpark ideas. Looking at CraigsList and Facebook Marketplace may also yield some helpful examples. Where did you look?

I've never seen an out-the-door price in the US on anything new, let alone vehicles. Note it's mandatory to state that in the EU and UK - including all taxes etc.

When I bought that new Royal Enfield 350 a year and a half ago, I was given a 'Take The Damn Thing Home NOW!' price of, if I remember correctly, $4800, no dealer prep or shipping fees added.
Of course there's state sales tax, but that has nothing directly to do with the dealer's prices, and I paid that when registering the bike with the state and getting it a plate later that month.

I do have a pretty good customer/dealer relationship with Scott, the owner.

Sadly, $5000 is probably about the right price for a 2010 FXDWG. Used Harley-Davidson prices are super low right now. There is a thread on the Harley Tech Talk forum discussing current used prices. I was shocked at what people are posting. Yesterday someone posted a link to a clean 2008 1200 Sportster for $2000 in Boise, Idaho. Crying or Very sad emoticon

Harleys are in their own world when it comes to the pre-owned market. Yes, prices are crashing a bit on HDs - especially Sportsters and the stripped down big twins. A lot of this is the large amount of similar bikes on the market at the same time with fewer buyers. Many older riders are giving it up/dying off and the scoots are just collecting dust. For the past few years, the prices were high, stupidly high in some cases. It's coming back around.

based on your location in the middle of cornfield county of the USA IMO your not going to see high valuation. now if the scooter was in CA or FL I do believe it would gather the 3-4K value.

NADA take locations into account for suggested pricing.

I do agree that NADA pricing for YOUR scooter is a bit low and think you should be able to see 2200-2500 if its listed in prime time like spring. winter time your probably looking at NADA value.
