Morning all,
just stripping down my fork and I can't see anyway to open this shock for a full refurbishment. Does anyone know if its possible to open it?

Maybe the down part is mounted in force ? It looks like there is a punch mark at the bottom, on the 1st and 2nd picture.

I would try to put the cylinder into the vice and hammer the bottom down using a large chisel

perhaps I will give that a go.

But bit does look a bit like the punch marks are to stop something rotating. The end cap almost looks like it's welded on.

I will get the chisel out tomorrow and report back.
