Hi guys,
I have an Vespa gts 300 year 2010 with 60tkm.
I bought it like non working scoot..
The problem was it would start but as soon as you give throttle it would die.

I cheked lots of stuff and cleaned throttle body changed air filter battery good, Voltage from stator good and so on and so on and then i changed ignition coil and it started to work perfectly fine.

It was working perfect without a issue and then after few houndred kilometers it started to choke on ideling on trafic lights.
Soon as that started in few day it was again doing the same. Start but no throttel as soon you give throttel it dies.

I bought new coil but before mounting it i changed the spark plug and spark plug alone solved the problem but for the same ammount of time as the coil.. few hundred km and same problem again.

Now the situation is sometimes it works but sometimes will die and sometime doesnt work it dies as soon as you accelerate.

Does somebody had the similar issu or someone now what is happening i am running out of ideas.
Thank you all for help
Cheers

I think there was a safety recall, something to do with the fuel pump. Maybe ask a dealer if they can check to see if it was ever done?

New pump installed by the previous owner he was trying to fix the problem also and then he gave up.

He never tryed to change ignition coil. So after i changed that vespa was driving perfectly. Until it didnt 🙈

Have you checked the valve clearance? When the clearance is too tight it can cause a lot of trouble . This could also explain that the bike is starting fine, but when it gets warm won't run anymore.

I didnt do that but i will for sure i was planing on that for the next steps.

But it run 600km without issue.
So if the valve clerance is bad i assume it wouldnt wotk at all.

Seems all good? Did you remove and check to make sure the connectors are clean and solid on both ends?

I was pondering the fuel pump as well. As SteelBytes said, could be injectors.

Fuel filter been checked? Intake all good?

Could be the coil. Could be the spark plug failed or cracked. Could even be the ECU/ECM.

Just because parts might have been replaced doesn't mean they haven't failed in a short time. Happened to me with a coil on my van in the literal middle of nowhere ND. Luckily I carry spares and a reader. It was intermittent too, had to get hot enough to fail.

We are guessing here on the internet. It could also be a failing sensor that causes the ECU distress or a chafed/broken wire that is intermittent.

You may need to check or test everything again.

I am aware of that everything you said. I was hopeing maby that someone had similare issue here.
I will have to check every single component again and keep trying. Most anoying thing is that faliure is not constant. It comes and goes as ido something and always after i swap another thing. I will have to diagnose it by changing part by part and see what is happening.

The reason I mentioned recalls was that several years ago I bought a 2008 MP3 500 at a tow-away yard, no key, no history. Paid $500. After lots of work and messing around and money for a complete new ignition lock and re-virginized computer it started and ran, but once warm it would not idle. Stalled immediately, restarted ok but no idle. With much research I found that all these were recalled to reflash the computers. There was some error in the programming. I checked the VIN at a dealer and this one never was reflashed, and Piaggio/Vespa refused to do it free. I paid too much, but like magic it ran perfectly.

Just a thought.

For sure there is this possibility.
But Unfortunately Piaggio service in my country is little bit hard to deal with. I will try to see if I can get any info from them. Tnx for mentioning that.
