QuadLock every time for me. I have a mirror mount for the Vespas (colour coded) and a handlebar mount for my touring mc. I have the anti-vibration bit that is really effective. No preference on speedo app, although generally just use Waze if I need to nav.

This is my setup. Cheap POS from Amazon, but it works fine. There are dozens. I would recommend better quality for long term.
Btw, the GPS app I use indicates 71 mph in the photo. I highly doubt I was going that fast. Sometimes it seems to lag or briefly flash speeds that are much slower or faster. I wonder if it has something to do with connectivity. ![]()

For an app, I have been using a simple speedometer app from something or someone called Mikrasya and like it. It is free if you can put up with some ads, which I can. For a small fee, the ads go away. Readings closely match what I get with a dedicated Garmin gps used mostly for marine navigation, and with those roadside radar signs that tell you your speed. Rarely, it will produce an aberrant reading, but that is usually obvious and only lasts for a few seconds.
For a mount, I have been using a Ram X-mount. I am less enamored with that and would not buy another one. If you get one, know it is essential to use the rubber tether that comes with it. Otherwise, your phone absolutely will go flying the first time you hit a pothole or other roadway imperfection. |

Speaking of apps, I have yet to find a mapping app that lets you plot a route from point A to point B and set points in between to follow with GPS. I'm sure it exists. Apparently you can do it in Google maps but I have never been able to make it work.
