Hi All,

First post on the forum.

The glovebox in (front of my knees) on my Fly 125 (around 2010) isn't latching properly. It opens up on rides.

Anyone experience this before and had a fix for it?

Cheers

Have you checked the condition of the latch or the latch square for signs of wear, damage or misalignment? There is also a latch spring that you might want to inspect.

Welcome to MV.

Hi Shebalba,

Thanks for the welcome and response. I had another fiddle with the glovebox over the weekend. I latched it and tried to pull it open - no joy. I cleaned and reinstalled the latch, cleaned the catch.

I cant see how it can open on its own unless;
1. There's huge flex in the chassis / plastics, or,
2. I am accidently hitting the button with my knee (but I would have thought I'd feel that)

Are scooters known for excessive flexing?

Cheers

There are Fly owners on here that can speak to the excessive flexing, but my guess is that it is not the culprit.

If the latch and catch are making good contact in the closed position, so much so that you cannot manipulate opening it without the button, perhaps it has something to do with the button?

Good chance someone else will be along who might have another suggestion.

I didn't check closely but there isn't any racking in the lid. I'll double check when I get home.

Cheers
