Looking for some part numbers to convert the ignition on a p200 ignition flasher relay the whole kit Is anyone familiar with what exactly has to be done and the part numbers. I usually order from Scooter mercado in Georgia but let me know I'm willing to source out other suppliers.

You can get anything from SIP in Germany thru Scooter Mercato. But if you are inquiring about what specific product to buy, you would be better off posting on the NSM side.

And you want to dump the battery but keep working turn signals? I've had Euro Ps w/ no battery & turns, SO much simpler!
I don't think you need a kit so much as convert what you have, adding a simple 12V regulator if required. If you can read a schematic and trace colored wires, I think easier and cheaper than running a whole new harness. I've wired several stock 12V motors into bikes from scratch and once you have your regulated 12V it's a lot like wiring a car or even a house. Track down the schematics for both yours and Euro batteryless at ScooterHelp.com then trace the wires you need to reroute, remove or add. Likely there's a Vespa regulator that would help too, paging Safis!

GickSpeed wrote: I own a Euro spec. P125x in Vietnam. no battery, but with turn signals. works fine. I personally would not dump the battery system. A good working battery system on an electric start bike you'd like to keep stock makes sense to me. That's the ONLY way though, the only other "advantage: is warning lites on a dark roadside if you break down, and I have a few good flash lites for that including a blimky one. I had batteriy on my Cosa and dumped it after 2 died. Stored 9 months of the year where no trickle charger plug in made it easy to understand, and I had to keep that Cosa kick-starting OK. It has electric start and 'choke' so I learned to tilt it right to overflow the floatbowl to prime it when it was cold. |
