Here's the damage done in Josh's crash on Beth's LX.
I think he might have suffered a broken leg, were it not for the steel body.

Wow, she was a pretty bike.
There was a lot of energy obsorbed in there. I'm sure plenty by his body also. Do you know if his injuries were caused by the impact or by hitting the pavement? Keep us updated. |

Looks like the legshield did absorb a goodly bit of the impact. Does anyone else here think the fact that scooters have legshields gives the rider a leg up (sorry) in an accident over motorcycles? I think I'd have fared worse if the shield hadn't been between me and the truck.
I hope Josh is on the mend. |

I'm sorry to see that. It was a pretty bike. It looks like Josh might recover faster than the scooter ( I hope so anyways). Do you know if it's totalled? I hope not. If it is I wonder if those mirrors would fall off and somehow end up somewhere else? I'm just saying 'cause they look loose. Probably only worth $20 + s&h, you know, if the bike is totalled and they fell off...
Hang in there and keep us updated about Josh and the mirrors, ah, er, I mean the Scooter. I'll light a votive in Church this Easter Sunday for a complete and speedy recovery. Happy Easter Everyone |

That'll buff right out.
Seriously, though, I'm just trying to add levity to a grave topic. I hope Josh is getting better. I'm not holding out hope for the scooter. |

Josh is healing, slowly. Percocet works wonders in the healing process.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work on scooters. |

thanks, Paul. Gotta love solid steel. Nice paint on the front fender, BTW.

Thanks, Deb. The topcase had a matching paintjob, too.
We just came from the dealer, discussing a replacement for Beth. She was planning on getting another Daring Plum, but she saw a Diamond White sitting out front that she thought was rather fetching..... Whatever color she gets, I'll do another custom paintjob on it. |

Yeah, Bryce, Beth was a bit upset that she hadn't taken any pictures of it. She's a photographer, too. :?

some good news!
I'm really no expert but that scooter looks totalled. The front has had to take a nasty impact... |
