just put the emgo lil' cruiser's on my lx as well. love em! you really don't realize how big the stock ones are until you get these beauties on. if anybody has any questions about quality let me say this, from day one the right stock mirror made a horrible rattling sound from the vibrations of the bike. no such problem with the new mirrors (and they're a fraction of the cost of the stock mirrors).

What's everyone thought on replacements for the ET4 stock mirrors?
I'm particularly interested in the aftermarket chrome round ones not only for looks but to minimize the gap when I lane-split at lights. Do the chrome ones extend past the width of the handlebars? From the pics I've seen it looks like they barely do but I am not sure. LX mirrors look great but look pretty long. I like the mod towards the beginning of the thread by Drew but not sure how they would look on my ET? |

Emgo mirrors
Drew, can't make it all the way over to Sherman Oaks but I am interested in the possibility of putting the Emgo mirrors on my Lx150 (maybe the ones you put on yours or just the shorter stem round) Anyway, just wondering if you had a model#/part # for the mirrors that you referred to? I went searching online and there seems to be a large number of mirrors available from Emgo and it is confusing to find the right ones. Any help is appreciated.

I just got another pair in, along with the required adapters. I also have short stems that fit the stock mirrors if you want a more stock look. I've already installed the round ones on 2 of my customers bikes and they love them! I will be in LA this weekend and am interested in picking up a pair, what is the name of your shop? Also, someone recently tipped my LX150 on to its port side, twisting the mirror and stripping the socket the mirror threads into. How do I go about replacing the socket? Unfortunately my bike is in SF, so bringing it in is not an option. |

So, the little silver mirrors in my previous post were very nice looking but the actual mirror surface was not enough for safety. I just installed a set of these mirrors. Quite a bit of fun don't you think? I will repost pictures of them on the scoot once I get a chance.

My Emgo sport mirrors. Great view to the sides and rear, and fully adjustable to almost any angle imaginable!
I've used these on every main bike I've owned for the past 10 years or so. Luv'em! -I had to use 10mm to 8mm converetors to mount them on the GT, but that worked out okay too..! 8) ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I added this after giving the finger to an unmarked police car he was flashing his headlights like mad to overtake me. I thought it was a boy racer. Luckily he wanted to be somwhere else so didn't stop. Im not risking that again. Its about the size of a rizla packet and I have to tuck my knee in to use it, but I dont do that very often

bar ends
Just installed some Rizoma bar end weights and mirrors. Really happy with the visibilty/quality of the mirror glass, and the anodized aluminum pieces are like a Swiss watch!

Wow. Those are nice. I checked out their Web site, but they were priced in Euros (99 each). Did your find a US supplier? eBay?

I found 2 U.S. suppliers, but these guys had them in stock, and shipped to me within 3 days. They also have some great "non bar end" versions. I rode all day today and couldn't be happier with them. Visual clarity and no vibration at all...way exceeds the stock mirrors. Well worth the $.

Zwerski, I also considered these in the clear anodized...very cool if you don't like the "round" mirror shape. Friggin' works of art! I'm also considering their handgrips too!

Those are tip-top. That company has their product dialed. Impressive. Very clean look on your bike.
I'm in the middle of procuring parts for my own bar-end project which should be done once I get some extra-long bar-end weight bolts from a specialty shop this week. I'll be going with some more "standard" mirrors and a different configuration. Should be nice. |

My mirror mod:
I've been liking the mirror mods I've seen lately, especially Guzzivox's Rizomi setup (but the price for that set, at this time for me, was prohibitive) and I am still not sure how I'll like my new bar-ends long-term. However, I did get my 90mm bolts for the mod this afternoon and did the deed. Here they are:
Overall look at the bike: ![]() ![]() ![]() Detail of how they attach: ![]() Side view: ![]() I picked up the Motrax 3-inch bar-end mirror from CycleGear on sale for $29.99 and spent a couple cents for some 5/8 washers and took a trip to Mr. Metric for some stainless M6 1.0 90mm bolts for a couple bucks. I don't like the look of the Napoleon-style mirrors when the hang way off the end of the bar, so I stuck them between the weights and the grips. Now I need to find out what to do with the hole left bu the old stock mirrors: ![]() Thanks for looking. |

Looks great! Nicely done with them "tucked in" and an awesome price. I noticed the GT mirror/brake cover is different than the GTS. If a GTS will fit yours, buy one and do what I did. Ace hardware store, 1" plastic plug. The other option I considered is to bondo the hole and paint.

let's revive this old thread....
So I finally go around to my mirror mod. Picked up some EMGO Lil Cruisers and a pair of 8mm/10mm converters. Right side was a piece of cake but the left side is not so good. Broke off the 8mm/10mm converter in the mirror housing, then broke off the EZout in the converter. So don't have any mirror on the left which is where I am supposed to have it. ARGH!
I'm in the Republik of Kalifornia where lane splitting is allowed and that's the whole reason for changing out the mirrors. I'm just having a hard time deciding which to get. While I want to get that busted bolt outta there, I'm in no rush as I don't like the view I get on the one that was installed. I think I might get those CRG Lane Splitter Model.... ![]() ![]() UGH!

Here we often have to drive between cars a lot to get anywhere, so I like the mirrors in nice and tight.
You do get used to the position and learn to tilt just right to get a good view. ![]() ![]() |

I used these, they match the modified brake handles and the black bar ends. In addition they don´t go outside the handlebars as the originals did.

Hey guys! This thread got me wanting new mirrors, so with my Birthday coming up, and the wifey asking what I wanted, I went ahead and ordered the following bar end mirrors.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0068G0HTO/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I went to the hardware store last night and bought a couple extruded steel spacers with an outside diameter of 7/8" (same as the bars) and longer M6 x 1.0 bolts in anticipation of their arrival. I'll update pics after install. Here's the photo from Amazon. ![]() |
