Hi, has anyone on here ever attempted or know anything about removing the immobilizer chip in the throttle body? 2013 LX150?

I recently picked up a crash damaged bike at an NZ salvage auction.

There is a guy in the UK who will disable the immobilizer for around $250 NZ plus postage but I would like to have a crack myself. any suggestions greatly appreciated. Simon.

If I do end up posting my throttle body to UK does anyone know if it's easy to remove the black plastic section which holds the electronics as this would cut down my postage costs dramatically.

I know I look a liitle shady but the bike is a genuine purchase from Maneheim auctions and I'm trying not to throw good money after bad just in case she's a no go and just a parts bike. any advice atall would be great. Simon.

You won't get it on the road with that front damage.

A dremel will open it right up. There are companies in the US that do the same thing for about $100. Af1racing.com is one of them. I've had good luck with their service on a couple of different bikes.

1. you don't rip these open to mess with the immo. there is no chip to remove as such.

2. use IAWMIUG3Reader from https://www.von-der-salierburg.de/download/GuzziDiag/ to read the BIN and then I can mod that for you if you really want to disable the immo.

3. If you also use IAWMIUG3EEPROMTool to read the EEPROM (and the BIN from above) then I can reset the keys in that for you so you can pair the ecu with new keys instead of disabling the immo.

Bonus comment: here is what the insides are like https://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=120775.0
