And the cable comes loose. Do you have a creative solution?

What I understand is that the cable outer slips out of its position. Is there a top hat on the outer?? Older models needed one. I'd also suggest using cables with a ball end that allow twisting so as not stressing the outer…

Disconnect the cable from the other clutch lever.
Use the pinch bolt or a 3rd/4th hand tool to clamp the cable against the outer down there, leaving enough up there to pull it.

Pull the outer a little past the socket and use a screwdriver to push it back and into the socket. Pull the cable to snug it.
Tophat would not snug there or the selector cable sockets on my Super, only at the brake.

If you now have to pull the outer much to seat in the adjuster it's too short.

Quick n dirty is to say super oil.
Needs new cables. The wire gets caught in worn housing and binds, making adjustments impossible, and worky bad bad.

No, there's no space for that top hat.

Actually it's a relatively new cable from SIP but this is connected to a Pinasco bull clutch which takes a bit of force to be engaged.

Maybe I'll drill a 5mm hole near the notch and put in that top hat.

I had this happen on the road and forced a 1/4" piece of sheet rubber in the area where your outer cable slipped to. With that wedged in it has been fine for 6 months now.
