Facepalm emoticon Crying or Very sad emoticon
So I have only had my scooter for about 6 months now, I bought it brand new so would have thought everything was good with it. But for sone odd ready the exhaust studs keep snapping off and my exhaust pipe snaps off and Im have to buy a whole new muffler and exhaust. Not to mention the cost to have the old studs removed... This last time is the absolute worst not only did the 2 main studs snap off but one of the bolts that helps support the the muffler and snapped off this time as well. Does anyone have any information or insight as to why this keeps happening. I take my scooter to a certified scooter machine every time. I can't keep dropping $400 every few weeks so any help would be greatly appreciated.

if it's new they should keep paying for it or figure out why it's happening and stop it.

really sorry you're dealing with this, but it is absolutely not normal in any way.

they need to fix it properly.

Your profile says "Veno 50". Is this a Yamaha Vino 50, or some Chinese scooter called a "Veno"? I wouldn't expect to have this problem with a Yamaha, but it could be a quality problem with a cheap knock-off.

It's puzzling. Search turned up nothing for "Veno 50 scooters". Yamaha hasn't made Vinos for years.

If this is something your dealer can no longer support, perhaps with a few more photos from different distances and angles, someone can come up with a solution that improves the design and prevents future snapping off.

If the exhaust is still in good working order, perhaps a different mounting bracket, etc.?

In the picture above, is that a broken bolt — the cause of the muffler falling off? Why does it appear to be loose? Is it loose intentionally? More photos might help.

It looks like the hole is too large for the bolt. Do you know, was there supposed to be a bushing (possibly rubber) in there? Maybe a shoulder bolt was used originally?

I'm guessing that this bolt and other muffler bolts are too loose in the oversized hole, and they shake themselves loose. Then they fall out or break. I would try filling the gap between the bolt and the hole (with a bushing or washer — or the correct size shoulder bolt), then tighten the bolt, with a drop of Loctite to keep it from vibrating loose again.

Good luck!

We still don't know for certain what the model is.

Is it a Venom?

There haven't been any new Yamaha Vino 50's on the market for many years. Whatever this is, it wasn't built by Yamaha.

The 2024 Yamaha Vino 50 was launched in February last year. In Japan.

That is interesting, but the OP is in Nevada (US), where the Vino has been off the market for a number of years. I notice the OP has given us a clarification.

I'm pretty sure its not a Yamaha Vino. I've seen the 50cc 2-strokes go thru hell and never have a muffler snap/fail. Same with the Vino 125. If my friend Jeff didn't have anything fail then it to has proved bulletproof. I know nothing about the Vino 4-stroke 50cc but if the C3 is any indication of quality it also must be bulletproof.

That being said more pictures would be helpful. I had the case half that the muffler bolts to strip on a highly abused Zuma and we just got a longer bolt and put a nut on the backside of the case half, until the mounting ear completely broke off during a crash.

I can't find a updated version of the Pony 50cc either.

But for a little clarity the Pony 50 is a Chinese Scooter made by Tao Motor Company
