I have a question about MP3s, and I don't want to take everything apart to be able to do the tests.

When switching from low to high beam, does the original harness switch with the positive or does it do so with the ground? In other words, does the original harness of the bike use the ground as the constant (always present in the bulb) and then feed the high or low with +12v, or is the positive the constant and then feeds the high or low with ground?

Thanks for the help

It's the positive that's switched.

On the Fuoco (early MP3500) the 'hi/lo' was fed from one fuse, and the 'passing' momentary switch fed from another.

This opened up the possibility of having both on at the same time on 'hi'.

Thanks jimc, I think it is a positive switch, but like to be 100% sure. Appreciate that
