I am experimenting with some merch offerings via Amazon's print-on-demand merchandise operation.

First, be aware that this is an experiment. I have no idea what these garments actually feel like, as I've yet to hold one in my actual hands. That said, the Amazon Merch items generally get favorable reviews. I have a modest amount of confidence that these items will be reasonably high quality.

Also, as a new seller, I can only create one new product per country, per day. This means that so far I have only managed to get three products up, and only in the US and UK Amazon stores. Theoretically I will have more latitude to create more products once I've actually made some sales, but I really don't know what the thresholds are for that, or if our tiny niche market will ever sell sufficiently well for them to bump me up to the next tier.

Like I said, it's all an experiment.

In the coming days I'll be adding more products (and more countries), one at a time. I'll update this thread with the progress.

All fulfillment is via Amazon -- I literally won't have any idea who has bought what, or any involvement in any part of the process. Modern Vespa will get a small cut out of each sale (it's probably smaller than you think) but it's not nothing, and it will help pay the bills.

Also, it's worth noting that multiple colors and sizes are available in both men's and women's sizes (not just the black ones seen here).

AFAIK, .nz and .au are not even on the list of available countries for Amazon Merch.

could also sell on RedBubble. They do .au

Judging by the experience that Ironfoot had with RedBubble, no, I don't think that's going to be a viable option.

So far the T-shirts have been more popular than the hoodies, which shouldn't come as much of a surprise.

I've been chatting with him in the background, mostly around the use of the logo and general merch issues. He's done merch with RedBubble in the past, but had a disappointing experience. I'll let him speak to the specifics if he wants, though I think he's mentioned it elsewhere here in the forum.

That's actually a bit surprising, simply because they don't appear to have a merch operation in Canada -- I would expect them to fulfill Canadian orders from amazon.com.

For those who have ordered the T-Shirt, I will be interested in feedback about the logo placement. It's actually up in the upper-third of the available space, but I'm concerned that it might still be too low (aesthetically speaking).

Hopefully someone will volunteer to model for us.

(Actually, sweatshirts are an option, but I haven't put any of those into the store yet).

I will be curious if you end up reducing the logo size by 15% and then raising it.

Then I'll have the limited edition 'big logo' one and the reduced one.
