Looking to make good a mistake in my effort to upgrade a 150 Super ignition and lights to 12v.
The mistake was the faith in a Baja 12v conversion kit, apart from the various supplied components needing fettling to fit as a kit!, the system fired up and ran for about 5mins and died....dead with no spark.

Question is do I continue with the Baja kit, possibly replacing the CDi ? but i draw the line with paying out for a new stator!

Or do I bin the Baja and fit a vape/SIP ignition kit? which with hindsight should have been my first choice.

The scooter is running on a standard crank with an original spec flywheel taper so any suggested kits must be compatible, plus the replaced wiring harness is the Baja supplied one and ideally be able to be reused.
Any suggestions ... repair Baja...replace Baja?
Thanks
KP

Take the sparkplug off, disconnect wires from CDI, spin the engine with a drill and measure AC output voltage from CDI wires against engine ground.

You should get +50Vac from ignition coil. If not, measure the resistance of ignition coil.
