Last summer when I bought the bike I fixed this sensor stripe by disassembling the whole seat. Worked flawlessly until I drow to Sweden where @ freezing degrees I noticed that the whole seat was like sitting on concrete...

5 day ago I took the seat apart again and still now after 2 months the foam was wet, moist. After drying it I fixed this problem by putting a plastic film (garbage sack) in between the foam and the outer black cover.

How ever...
The sensor stripe seems half dead after the freezing experience, works sometimes but mostly dead...

I grown tired of it yesterday and put the lot together in hope it would work properly ones assembled correctly. Nope...
I need a new sensor and finding one is like finding a gold bar... If one doesn't go the long way and buy a new seat...

A shout out to you all, if you have or seen a solution to this problem, please put a link here... Because I'm out of ideas...

My seat sensor has been busted for years but I just live with it. It doesn't impact the operation of the bike since I don't use the roll lock system, and when I do 2 quick taps of the switch takes care of the problem.

Have you tried electrical contact cleaner or putting heating elements in the foam to prevent moisture buildup???

AFAIK that stupid sensor is not sold by itself

Is this the sensor that can be eliminated by installing a 3ohm resistor at the contact points where it connects to the wiring harness?

Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen anyone post the full pictures of what the sensor looks like and where it is in the foam of the seat. Those photos are very helpful for anyone who has similar seat sensor problems.
