Hi All

Having an issue and hope you can help.

My Vespa recently started inconsistently - it would take a while of holding break and starter button for anything to happen (and also for it to turn off the traction control - broke the front sensor a while back and had to turn off for every ride).

Anyway, the inconsistency turned into a full blown starting issue. The bike refused to start at all (but all lights came on - including front lamp). since then I've changed both break switches, the battery, the starter switch, and the spark plug. Neither break pull illuminates the break light at the back, and the front headlamp doesn't come on - neither do the indicators work (although the white side lights do come on when I turn the key)

I'm starting to suspect it's one of the relays at the front (or the one in the seat) or the side stand switch. But neither would explain the lazy starting I've experienced over the past few months.

Any suggestions? I'd assumed the lazy starting recently would be a clue and that it would be break switch / start switch related. (What else could stop the break light illuminating at the back?!) I've also changed the fuses - one was broken so I've replaced it - and still nothing.

Before I keep buying parts and stabbing in the dark I thought I'd ask here - and I'm hoping someone confirms it's a relay!

Pls help

That switch or fuse or relay or flasher or wiring damage.

Side stand and brake switches etc have nothing to do with the indicators.

The wide spread issues makes me fearful of wiring damage.

Thanks for the reply steel.

I'll try and troubleshoot the relays and pray it's not a wiring issue

Sorry for the silly question:

Are the three relays at the front identical? Ie, can I interchange them, and if I replace am I buying 3x part number? Or are they all different part numbers?
