How can you tell if the front shock absorber on the LX is no longer working? Because I understand that when braking, the scooter should have a slight nose-pecking sound, because it has a pendulum suspension.

When they die, you'll feel every bump in the road as the shock bottoms out at the slightest excuse.

It shouldn't make any sound, and there should be minimal nose-dive.

what year is the scoot and how many miles /km's are on it? any visible signs of oil leakage?

does it feel really soft when pushing down on it while holding the front brake?

What do you experience / feel that makes you think maybe the shock absorber is no longer working?

It seems to me that when braking the scooter began to peck its nose more, it became softer. on the shock absorber, on the spring it looks like oil. but when driving, on turns, I do not feel insecurity, as if everything is normal.
I installed this shock absorber 2 years ago, but it was not new.

from what your saying the shock is probably done and a replacement is in your future.

look at SIP for a replacement.

Why SIP and not scooterwest or scooterpartsco.com?

I was very disappointed with SIP and their customer service. So much so I will never buy from them again
