Using both the Master key and the Service key, do the key-pairing sequence described in the workshop manual.

You can't as the ECU stores the keys electronic codes. The only way is virginize the ECU and with a new antenna record the new codes, but always you need to have keys codes in the ECU so it works.
Remember, the idea is a immobilizer, no one with a wrong code key can start the engine |

You need PADS (Piaggio Advanced Diagnostics System) or a knockoff workalike clone.
PADS is only offered to dealers and on a subscription basis only. Don't know about the clones |

In the same place where 99% of the clones and copies born… China je je je je je
You can search for the OBDSTAR iStar for Piaggio Group as a option to do that. Or you can send your ECU to a place that do it for you as AF1Racing in example |

If is a problem with the immobilizer, the engine don't start. It act at the moment you crank the engine, not after the engine is on.
From my point of view, if your engine starts but don't rev (or don't goes over 2000 RPM) is a problem with seat sensor and you need to have a red light in your dash indicating that is no one in the seat (always is possible that the dash sign is burned). Search for posts where indicated how to disable the seat sensor (I don't remember if is a 1KOhm resistance place between the cables after disconnect the plug that goes to the sensor). If problem continue, is good idea to check the continuity of the wires from the plug to the ECU to be sure is not one punctured or broken. |
