So here's the thing…I've gone from a 2022 GTS Supertech to a 2023 Supertech and as usual I'm longing for that thump thump thump thump satisfaction I've grown so accustomed to over the last number of years. Each time I've upgraded my GTS I've given the nice quiet stock pipe a chance to grow on me, but I think the longest I've ever lasted was a couple of weeks before I start to miss the deep satisfying massage I get from the addition of an Akropovic pipe. From my gluteus maximus straight up to my ears, including what little remains in between them, feeling and hearing that soothing thump emanating all around me is not something I can easily do without. Here lies the issue, I don't have the $1500 Cdn that it would cost to put me back into my state of bliss.
I do however have the pipe that was on my previous scoot.
Can it be done? I know with this vey question I'm already making the hairs on the back of some necks stand up a little straighter. But seriously how much harm could it do...to my scoot that is…and yes of course to the environment as well. We all need to do our part.
Would it work? Or would I destroy the engine along with the Kyoto accord?
Any thoughts, expertise, hate responses would be greatly appreciated.
I think this might be my first post, so hello all and thanks for all the great info and general reading over the last decade!!😊

Why not just try to put it on and see? Takes like 15 minutes if you go slow.

So I've inquired with SIP technical team and another qualified Motorcycle mechanic that flat out said "it couldn't be done".
However, I'm still of the belief that "where there's a will, there's a way. I'm just hoping to get some foreknowledge before I bring it to a welder that's willing to cut pipes and put it all together. Am I going to spend a couple hundred bucks only to find out that the throughput isn't enough and I'll fry the rings or the valves or whatever.

My 2023 model was built in Vietnam, and is Euro 4, with the old style of exhaust with a single catalyzer, and I have an Akra fitted for better looks and sound.
But I understand the E5 version has two catalyzers and two lambda probes, and no after-market exhaust is available yet. Fit an old style of exhaust and the one probe will have no connection and the ECU will throw a fit.

iirc, No. The E5 has two cats and one probe. the E5+ (ie the 310) has two probes.

There is, Arrow makes a 300 E5 exhaust for the GTS and they also already have one for the 310 E5+. Pretty sure other the major brands make an E5

As to sticking an E4 exhaust on to an E5 here's the deal

from the german forum (and google translate)
https://vespaforum-de.translate.goog/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=59647&sid=79350f6910762386db0ede1ca1830d06&_x_tr_sl=de&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=sc

First, you need a EUR 4 manifold.
Then, you need the reducer from M18x1.5 to M12x1.25, which allows you to screw the EUR 5 lambda sensor into the old EUR 4 manifold.
This way, the beautiful old Akra mufflers will also fit the current EUR 5 model.
It's still a bit of a fiddle, though, especially getting the M6 copper screws onto the studs. The trick is a cable tie.
It's important to disconnect the lambda sensor cable so it doesn't tear when unscrewing it. Pay attention to the clamp; there's a YouTube video on how to do this.
The M18 to M12

Thanks, Steelbytes, for all that info. Might need it when I upgrade my 2023 model to a 310 (later this year?). As the Australian 310 will presumably also come from Vietnam I don't know what Euro figure it will comply with or what exhaust/catalyzer configuration it might have.

I appreciate all the ideas, research and knowledge from each of you. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with what it's going to take to pull the maneuver off, but I'm feeling somewhat relieved that it would seem it can be done.
Thanks again!!
