Hi All scooter owners.
I bought this GT200L2005 after the owner said it stopped with steam coming from the exhaust. The price was right so i went ahead.
Assuming that the head gasket was the problem so rebuild commenced.
Base and head gaskets.New water pump and housing,fuel and oil filter.oil pan gasket,piston ring set,carby clean,some spray paint etc.
Reassembled put engine back in bike
Filled radiator with correct fluid.
Only to find water coming from the tappet cover hose.
DAMN!!
I have obviously not found the real cause for the water in the oil problem.
I am tipping corrosion in the head or the cylinder.
All gaskets are in the correct way.
I look forward to any suggestions that may help me with.

Check the freeze plug on the head.

A crack in the block or head. You can try a magnaflux test.

My GTS300 suffered a crack in the head, leading to coolant getting directly into the intake. First symptoms were steam when first starting, eventually it hydrolocked when trying to start.

So look for a crack.
