Yesterday, Russ Dixon, the man who runs the 7 Bridges Scooter Club, posted about the number of restaurants that the club has visited over the past 15 years.

In that time the club has posted rides two days a week for the first ten or so of those, then 3 rides a week in recent years.

Every ride includes lunch or dinner somewhere and breakfast on the multi night rides.

Here is his post:

Today's scooter ride marked the 1,800th time we've visited a restaurant since we started keeping records about 15+ years ago.

That covers 765 individual eateries of which 75% are known to still be in business.

If each visit averaged 12 of us spending just $15 each, that would add up to a collective spend of at least $324,000. $432.000 if we each spent $20.

Thanks for doing your part to keep the economy going!

The club would not exist without Russ' fine leadership.

The rides help keep me sane.

Bill

Riding a Vespa seems to be an expensive hobby...
