Did this for a local-ish rider that now resides in St. Croix and flies back from time to time for riding in and around Indiana.

Besides updating the rest of his 2005 LML Stella, i have changed his original standard disk to a floating disk by machining crenellations to the drum.

This is why it has to be machined- to allow movement of the floating rivet.

That's fine work Mr. Gick. The Stella front disc was God's gift to North American scooters. Absolutely worth preserving, repairing and improving. Those stock style front disc hubs are hard to find.

Fairly recently re-introduced I think.

Nice work! Having tried both Polini discs, I found the Race version better (175.0010) but it gets a bit noisy under hard braking...

the radial caliper is much easier to take it off when running a external fluid reservoir.

Great work! Did this upgrade a few years ago with a radial master cylinder, massive improvement.

I got lucky and got the pinasco radial bracket and caliper for trade of some bits I had laying around. The other option by VMC is better priced but don't have the bling factor.
