In mine is the ASR, the Hazard and Seat opening, but in yours I'm pretty sure one is for the seat and the other for the Rear Case opening (see the picture if it is this one, part number 641742).
This diagram can help https://piaggio.genuine-parts-catalogue.com/piaggio-scooters/500-PIAGGIO-SCOOTER/MP3/2013/MP3-500-Sport/Electrical-system/Selectors--Switches--Buttons/1212/42/20882/2693

Case opening your diagram says... It didn't work for me but I guess it doesn't open when the motor is running, for safety reasons. I'll try again tomorrow with the motor off. Thank you! |

Maybe your model don't have the solenoid to open the case? Have the cable, but not the solenoid installed.
Make sense since from what you say your model doesn't have any buttons, maybe there are connectors to use the same cable harness as the one that does have them but don't include the solenoid to reduce cost and is not intended to be used? |

Was thinking buying a used cover with buttons but I don't want them too visible since I rarely lock the bike during the day... Apparently they seem to work even when the key is in my pocket, only locking the steering turns them off... And I don't want to "hard lock" it every time I jump off. Thanks 👍! |

The fact that they only stop working with the steering locked is something that bothered me a lot in the original design too, so I installed an immobilizer (like the anti-theft ones that cut the power when you move away about 5m) and I keep the transmitter in my pocket. When I move away, the button stops working, but when I get closer, it works normally. Some extras should have been thought about, such as draw, which, however small, is always there, but can be solved with a timer and so on. This is the most convoluted solution. I've seen some users in Spain who have installed a dummy button that powers the opening button, so to open you have to press the dummy at the same time as the other one. This way, you avoid the most convoluted solution, and it works. |
