She's a 2001 px200 but with a px125 engine and a sip exhaust. And I have a few questions.

The guy told me the autolube might not be any good and not to trust it. So what is the fuel to oil ratio? I'm not even sure on the tank capacity either.

The exhaust was fitted but the carb hasn't had new jets, how much should I increase the jets by? And is this something that is urgent and needs to be done immediately?

Also what oil is best for this engine?

Thanks, Ellis.

Smelling dead fishes here? I guess you mean the bike? This seems just a legit follow on to when he was deciding which to buy here T5 or a PX125?

Haha no I was just wondering about the 125 engine in a p200. Never seen it go that way. Usually the reverse. But congrats on the new scooter. You are gonna have a blast on it.

Autolube is throttle metered. More oil at WOT.
Is there oil in the line that feeds into the tube at the carb box?
If so, pull it out and reattach it. This will introduce an air bubble into it.
It should disappear after a short ride.

Just up the main jet a bit. Try a 105 first and see how it goes. That should be rich.
Then try a 102 and maybe a 100(?).
Most power up a hill (or with a passenger on flat roads), then take a look at the spark plug after a few km ride.

I'd just watch the bubble at idle and see if it moves before I went for a ride to find out if it's working. Did the guy say why he thought it wasn't working?

Thank you very much. From my understanding this bloke put the 125 engine back inside so he could install a 177 kit? He said something like that. Cos apparently the 200 was really sluggish. But he never got round to putting the kit inside.

Dude doesn't know what he's talking about. The autolube, if maintained correctly, is a bulletproof system and better than premix…

This, especially the autolube being BETTER than premix because it knows how much oil to add - less when idling or light load, not much throttle & more at high load & RPM w/ lots of throttle. Make sure there's 2T oil in the oil tank and everything is hooked up. Then do the testing suggested while still running 2% premix, it'll just smoke a lot if autolube is working. Ask about anything you want to know. Remember, there are no dumb questions when you're a noob, but plenty of opportunities for dumba$$ mistake$ - ask me how I know. Facepalm emoticon

Let's see a closeup of your motor and details of plumbing to your carb. Pull the airbox lid & filter, and show us your carb & oil pump IF this motor has one?

Thank you, I will attach a photo tomorrow. I got the scooter today but I think the air filter needs to be cleaned and the carb also needs definitely needs cleaning and rejetting.

Okay so I did some investigating, the autolube doesn't work, the line is completely dry. The idle and main jet are both 140 and my spark plug is darker than the night. Explains why my engine won't run very consistently at the moment. Also I'd like to clarify I did premix so I wouldn't worry about a heat seize

Edit: I took out the jets a 2nd time the atomiser says BE4, the main jet said 102! The idle jet said "52-140".
And I tried autolube again and the tube was dry as a bone, I tried to take out the bit that sucks in the auto lube but couldn't do it, I have a big feeling it's full of gunk, from what I could see.
I think the spark plug is black and it running rich is because of the 2 stroke oil, the bloke put a load into the autolube tank and then dumped some in the fuel tank.
