I have a Vespa Primavera special "Touring" model, which came in the exclusive color "Gray Travolgente" and includes front and rear luggage racks as well as a small windshield.

My problem is that the previous owner removed the front rack because he didn't like it and stored it away in his garage along with the screws and everything. Now that I've bought it from him, he couldn't find the screws to attach it; he just gave me the rack.
I called Vespa, and they told me they don't sell just the screws or hardware needed for attaching it. I have to buy a completely new rack.

Do you guys have a solution for this? It seems a bit excessive to buy the whole rack just to get the screws.

I also emailed Scooter West, and they don't sell it either.

The mounting hardware for this rack is not 'off the shelf' bolts. It has some specialized bolts which will be very difficult to find elsewhere. I'd go back to the seller and help him search his garage.

The picture above is for the large frame. You don't need as much hardware. You might be able to do a work around from the hardware section. Watch Robot's video:

According the retailer, the frame is for a Primavera/Sprint (small frame).

And even in Robot's video he mentioned that you cannot buy some of the mounting hardware because it is specialized.

Either find the hardware in the seller's garage, or buy a new kit entirely. Unless you have access to a machine shop and are technically skilled to figure out exactly what size to manufacture a bracket, a bolt, and spacers.

All the inside hardware is already installed because this came from the factory.
What I'm missing are the screws that attach to the rack.

Well, you have a photo above with all the hardware, and you have a video of the install. You should be able to figure out which BOLTS you need from that. As I said, the bolts are specialized sizes. There are no easy solutions.

The bolts are fairly standard *except* for the long shoulders on a couple of them. The shoulders could just as well be lengths of pipe used as sleeves on the standard bolts.

Robot posted a video to youtube for full install. If the mounting bracket is already in place behind the horn cover, you can skip ahead to the 11 minute mark.

I think you should be able to cobble together what you need from a good hardware store. I've gotten rubber grommets and bushings from Lowe's for various vespa projects over the years. The lower bushing will be pretty easy to match, the upper bushing that goes in place of the horn cover badge is custom though. That might not be the prettiest, but you could get it to work.

I think biggest issue is going to be thread sizing and length of the bolts (likely M8 or M10). You're going to have some trial and error here to get bolts of the correct thread and length.

Good Luck!

You might put your location in you profile, so folks know where you are.
#1 pull the horn cover and see if this bracket is still there. If no, you're in trouble.
Hardware threads are M6. Long bolts and spacers or pipe as suggested above should work.

Hello, thanks so much for all your answers.
All the inside hardware is already installed, what in missing are the exterior parts, rubbers, bolts, screws, washers, etc
