Need to know what to do with a couple loose ends. Wiring up a SIP harness and have a charging wire and two ignition switch wires that aren't used on my model. What do I need to do with them, if anything?

Parmakit ignition kit on a VNB.

You can just leave them be or add a switch. It's just another part of the kill circuit.

wire in a hidden kill switch somewhere on the scooter. Maybe inside a glovebox or cowl? Get creative, but put it in a spot that you can easily access.

Ok, cool. Ignition lock translation makes more sense being a kill switch. Thanks

That's a good idea. I've never wanted to leave it out of my sight knowing how easy it is to make off with. That would add a layer of security. Thanks

If you have a lock cylinder on the side cowl door, you can put the kill switch inside the cowl so that it can be behind lock and key. The switch can be either a toggle, rocker, or push button. I have this style on one of my scooters.

That's a clever spot for it. Thanks for the FYI!

Found this. Like the idea of a keyed switch and I could also mount it externally. Thinking of somewhere semi hidden like under seat. Depends if key can be removed after turning tho.

I'm short one of these connectors. Need to know where I can get one online.

Not sure what they're called and didn't have any luck finding info online.

It's a ring terminal. You can get them on Amazon, but you're going to wind up with a whole bunch of spares you never use.

You should be able to buy one or two at an auto parts store.

Any hardware store will have them as well.

All the hardware stores I know of only have crush terminals, which are inferior in pretty much every way to a proper ring terminal. And definitely will be too big to fit into a junction box correctly.

Once upon a time, this would have been a Radio Shack item.

I'll take a gander at the local ACE and maybe an auto parts store. Ever since Pepboys closed the local auto parts stores aren't good for much anymore.

My local napa usually has pretty small ring terminals. Some of the Ace or true value stores have a decent selection of them as well.

Ah. Always forget about NAPA. I'll see if they have anything as well. 👍

Gotcha, I'm spoiled up here then. All 3 of the local ones have them. Even the proper tiny sized ones to fit in the j box.

No such luck down here. I have 2-3 three of each of the major chains (which are all owned by the same Private Equity firm) within ten minutes of me, but they all suck for inventory unless you're looking for some cheap chromed plastic stick-on accessories or a tacky steering wheel cover.

Got it wired up but no spark. Lotta troubleshooting to do. Anyone aware of Parmakit ohm stats for coil and stator?

ETA: Had a hunch it was kill switch wiring and it was. Now has spark and kill switch functions as it should.
