Did the 150 GLs originally have painted or unpainted wheel/rim nuts?
Ivory or unpainted ?
I have looked at lots and lots of photos , some are painted others or not?

Vespa technical book shows unpainted hardware on the wheels. But I've seen an original US GL with painted hardware, (maybe dealer done?).
Sorry not much help. If it were mine I'd go with unpainted. |

very esoteric comments there SubEstherBlass.
yes my GL is Original but certainly worth asking the question. I have the early rego papers, tracked the rego history and managed to speak to people who knew the scooter and two of its early owners. Sadly it was repainted back in the 80s. I managed to remove some of 80s paint in multiple places to reveal the lovely original Ivory colour. My first intention was to strip it all back , to reveal the original paint and have a Rat bike but it was unrealistic. |

Nuts are never painted. In the 60's they were using single stage paint, which make the paint thick, that would become problematic when the nut forces into the socket, and any socket use would ruin the paint.
Same for threads, never painted from factory. |
