The fork was sandblasted and painted and it appears that the sanvlastwr wasn't too carful with the gun and hit a sensitive area on the fork spindle where the hub attaches. See picture. Can I save this spindle with some high grit sandpaper? Or do I need preform surgery and replace it? Thank you for your help and recommendations.
