Hey all,

Finally Recieved my parts back from painter. The fork was sandblasted and painted and it appears that the sanvlastwr wasn't too carful with the gun and hit a sensitive area on the fork spindle where the hub attaches.

See picture.

Can I save this spindle with some high grit sandpaper? Or do I need preform surgery and replace it?

Thank you for your help and recommendations.

That was already quite worn out, too much pitting where the bearings worked. Replace…

If it's a 20mm fork you can replace the axle, if it's a 16mm you'll need to go for a new suspension arm…

Thank you. It's from a mk1 T5. So 20mm fork.

Any guidance on how to replace that spindle?

It's a press fit. back it out using a press. then press in a new one.
