hi im new here, i should be getting a 71 sprint veloce on thursday and feel it would be a lot more usable if i could turn my back for a few seconds and it still being there . i have decided a centre stand lock would be best for short term separation, like paying for fuel ect ,i invented it my self then thought vespas have been around a long time someone else must have thought of this before quick internet search proved me right my thought had been a tube to sleeve the leg of the stand with a square plate with a hole then a bracket off the stand mounting point with a bit bent down with a hole in for a padlock or countersink screws and drill and tap a disc lock . but to save me the work and trying to find the plate and someone to weld it up . i have seen them for sale for a px125 and wondered what if any thing would need to be done to make it fit ?
does a px stand fit a 71 sprint frame

A PX stand does indeed fit almost any largeframe Vespa. At least did fit my VBC (I believe that its chassi is pretty much the same of the one in the Sprint).

Bear in mind that a PX stand is much higher than the old style largeframe ones.
