Good day everyone.

I'm proud owner of Liberty S 50 4t 3V iGet (bought in 2024, and the model is 2023 i believe) scooter since last year and decided to do some modifications on it. After 1000 km I installed Malossi CDI and after modification there were some changes. Revs are higher and downhill is faster because restriction was moved. After that i decided to change variator and installed Polini variator with original rollers and also saw slight improvement, but still not enough. I live in city with lot of hills and need power uphill. As i needed more power for uphill i decided to install Malossi 80cc bbk. Just to mention, all modifications were done by official shop in my city. I expected to have big change after 80cc kit, but unfortunately not a single improvement which surprises me. Maximum speed is around 60kmh and approximate is around 50 kmh. There is one hill on which before any modification I was going 40 kmh and after all modifications I'm still at same speed (40kmh). I called local shop and they said it need some time to see difference after installation (at least 300-400km) and then i will see difference. Only difference I see is that is louder when revving and maybe slighty more explosive, but uphill is still problem.
Is it maybe problem with too light rollers in variator, should they be heavier maybe? Any suggestion and help is wanted.

Only so much you can squeeze from a tiny motor. Would be better off with 150cc model if you can swing it.

unfortunately in my country only 50cc is allowed on car driving license and i really don't need bigger one.
but yesterday i was in my bike shop and it turns out that there is CDI for restricting 50cc and CDI for 80cc kit so i need to buy new one for my 80cc.
i will keep you updated once they install it.

Your existing adjustments would give a good effect for a 2T engine, the 4T engine is more complex for adjustments. I would recommend finding a good weight of weights in the variator.

Hi! I've got the same scooter as you (Liberty 50 4T 3V i-get Euro 5) and tested most common upgrades, including Malossi 80cc.

If you're only getting 60 km/h after all that, your transmission isn't tuned properly — not a cylinder issue.

What worked for me:
• Rollers: 6.3g (19x15.5mm)
• Clutch springs: Malossi white
• Clutch: Malossi Fly (52 8797)
• Contra spring: Polini +8%
• Belt: Malossi Kevlar
• Gears: 14/43 secondary gear

This gave me a real GPS top speed of 70 km/h, with much better uphill pull and no delay on takeoff.

Heavier rollers and softer clutch springs make a huge difference.
Don't expect gains from the 80cc kit unless CVT is correctly balanced.

Let me know your current CVT setup and I can help more.

I'm not 'expert' and don't know what my official service did on modifications, but from his point I have Polini variator, Polini computer for 80cc engine and 80cc block kit. but at the end still my final speed is 55kmh on road and 60kmh downhill. it has good acceleration, but uphill and straight road is still not so efficient. I read on Polini site that i need polini secondary gear for maximum speed (if have Polini computer on mode 2 i believe).
