My wife and I are having a debate over which scooter, mine or hers, would be considered more rare and we're hoping the crew here at MV could help us out. And it's ok, we can take the ribbing as well.

Guess I should specify:
2010 LX150 (less than 180 miles) Vs 2019 Primavera 150 50th Anniversary Edition (less than 600 miles) |

Both should be ridden more! No point having a Vespa, rare or not, that's just a garage queen.

Mine was delivered last night, so it wasn't me who didn't ride it. I'll be adding miles, took it to work today even.
The wife picked hers up in October and the Seattle weather is just finally getting to her comfort zone but she's been out and about on it several times. Can't blame her for finding her dream pink scoot with so little miles.

Showed my wife the pictures (trying to spark interest in scooters) and her question was: what kind of flowering bush is that in the background? Her next question was: did they get married and ride off into the sunset?

Thanks for the plant name and additional photos. Much appreciated! Great looking pair of scooters, too!

Why try to argue with the wife, pink has to be the rarest, how many do you see on the road, except maybe in San Francisco 10 years ago.

Based on our research the best we could come up with is that Vespa sent 400 of the 2010 LX150s in pink to the US (1,000 LX50s). I have been unable to verify this officially as we all know Piaggio doesn't really publish this information. For mine, the blue one , I could find that the 50th Anniversary Primavera 150 came in 2 colors. For Australia for example there were only sent 30 units total: https://www.scooterstyle.com.au/vespa-primavera-150-50th-anniversary-special-series/ For Malaysia they only received 52 bikes: https://www.zigwheels.my/motorcycle-news/malaysia-gets-vespa-primavera-50th-anniversary-edition And of course we are unable to locate any US production info let alone any breakdown of how many blue or how many brown. And the debate continues..... |

And....I think they are much more visible in their amber color and more easily recognized by U.S. drivers as a "turn signal"! Esp. to all those left turners! Is it another example of Vespa owners letting vanity trump road safety? (shaving side reflectors, adding smoked tail and running lights, etc.) (the re-fit kit Robot promotes for removing the turn pods on a Liberty and activating an amber turning signal within the leg shield lens - next to the bright white LED DRL without his kit first cancelling the DRL is faulty modification for the sake of vanity, IMHO) O.S. ![]() |

In Ukraine we have the opposite situation: the police fine drivers of American cars if there are original red turn signals behind them. There should only be yellow ones.
