So I get off work and I see this... No one around and not even a note.

I published this here before, here it is again:
I had my 2012 roll off the side stand, the self retracting one. Rolled over on its side, ugly scrape. I bought several versions of rubber tank pads for motos (on Amazon) and decided on this one: ![]() ![]()

I posted a few weeks ago that I dropped my 23 on a hill. Similar scratch with a slight dent it in. Robot gave me the number of a paintless dent repair guy, but before I do anything, I will put on another pad. I lean away for the moment of the body repair, because there will still be scratches after anyway. This material is also rubber, and mimics the texture of the seat.

a spray can of paint is your best chance of repairing the scratches, lots of very light coats of paint is the key

I appreciate the tips and the pics, I feel better knowing this is a battle scar among the rest of the Harley's in the parking lot. Those are usually the bikes that park next to me.

Rocket, my first GT that I bought almost twenty years ago, fell over on its side after I put it on its center stand while visiting a jobsite only a year or so into owning it.
The gravel that the contractor had laid caused some well defined scratches and scrapes on the right side cowling. I was devastated but never bothered to make repairs. I kept riding the wonderful scooter as more dents and scrapes were added because I rode it a lot. I still ride it regularly, 110,000 miles later, and never notice the damage. Still love the scooter. Curious, someone here might have done this:
On the web, I can purchase a black number decal with orange numeral, same shape as on the Sei Giorni. On the Sei Giorni, the front decal goes on the left of the front, and the rear goes on the right rear quarter panel, with a fold over the sheetmetal's edge. Can the rear decal go on the left side? I know, the number would be askew, but this might be perfect for a scratch/dent, like mine now has. There seems to be a clear space where the decal lines up over the edge, perhaps it follows the radius of the fender? Thanks |
