CA registered and paid through December 2025, clean title in my name. Ready to ride away today - I just did 70 miles round trip down PCH in the sun from Long Beach last Saturday and was glorious.
To my eye looks pretty much original in paint and such other than paint touch ups, the engine cover panel which has been sprayed to a close match, and rubber replacements as seen. Few small dings but that's about it.
Only lightly used by me in the last few years so would maybe do with a bit of tightening up or tune etc by the new owner but that's about it as I'm aware.
Was told it was subject to a full engine rebuild and partial restoration of required parts when I bought it 4 years ago but no documentation. Ride great to me so I had no doubts. Since then I've done max 300/400 miles. Gear and clutch cables renewed in last couple months for summer, tires very new.
To me it starts, runs, rides and handles awesome. Better than any other I test rode. A tiny occasional oil drip from gear link o ring as it's not used much.
It starts 2/3/4 kicks kick after being parked for a bit, quicker if more frequently used.
Turns heads more than a sport car or bike absolutely everywhere I go around the beaches here, Leo Vince exhaust sounds brilliant.
Leaving the US and can't take it with - needs to go soon.
Open to a decent offer - I can't find a single ET3 for sale on the West Coast right now. Belo Moto in SF are selling restored ones at $11k + the rest it seems.
Obviously I'm not after that…but it's a lovely bike and a unique steal for the right buyer haha
Note: title from last DMV update in about 1998 had a 'fat finger' error showing it as 1967 not 1978 as the engine number seems to be and some weird mileage of 33k miles not the 1,350km shown on the odo. As a UK lifetime daily scooter rider I can't imagine how anyone could dream of getting 33k miles on a small frame in the US by 1998 lol so again, I think some BS DMV data input in 1998 resulted in this and can be rectified with DMV. Plus, the bike shows nothing like that kind of miles it in its condition and it didn't bother me as I decided the bike was legit for me. I've never been given reason to doubt the odo is right and rebuild were legit. Title could be corrected at CA DMV if it was an issue for you.
I'm no expert in Vespas and have been honest as possible within my means and I'm sure I'm inaccurate with a lot but happy to provide 100+ pics, a bunch of videos etc if anyone has questions, can send via WhatsApp or email.
I'm an honest rider and would love it to go to a good home.
