hello scooter dudes

i have rebuilt my vespa and ran it in i think -- done roughly 1000 miles now.

during this time i have noticed a problem. Gear changes are rough and occasionally jumps out of 3rd into 4th -- arggghhh

Striped the engine to check cruciform which is OK -- but i have wear inside of the 4 gears.

42 - 48 - 52 - 57 teeth gears

does anyone know where i can buy these ?

i can get PX gears no problem -- but i would like to keep the same gearing

any help is much appreciated -- thanks in advance Andy

That might be a little tough… I don't think I've seen any available on SIP or at Scooter center etc. ?

Maybe the used market is the way to go?

the gears around the cruciform are, or were the problem -- internals are worn and force the cruciform to move...

this is now sorted -- got a complete new set of gears top and bottom including shafts = xmas trees

cost £303

so not so bad

the entire engine is now new -- just old casing
