Hey yall, I built out a VNB with a p200 and added a PK fork to allow for the 10" and for a disc brake brake. SIP had a fiberglass fender that I picked up. It works fine, but its fiberglass and is starting to crack etc. Curious if anyone has a metal option that would work?

Ive seen so many different ones in pictures, but fabricating one is out of my (and friend circle) sill set.

Looking to just purchase and install.

This is the SIP one: https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/product/mudguard-plc-for-vespa-125-vna-vnb-150-vba-vbb-t4_76021700?q=mudgaurd%20vnb

Yer on your own if you're looking for a modified steel fender. It ain't easy and it's VERY time consuming to fashion one up yourself. So where is your PLC fender cracking at? They are pretty strong. I currently have a spare brand new one that's gathering dust on my shelf. You did use the top three mounting points plus a fourth mounting point that's about halfway up the fork, right?

The fiberglass at the back is coming apart. The paint just stared chipping off about the same time.

Also have a crack at the top that formed about a year ago. But that might just be the paint.

I attached it with the 3 bolts at the top. No other attachment holes/points were present

Shame you are not in Europe where there are a lot more PKs and parts for them. The older PKs had steel fenders before they switched to plastic on the XL2s. Here's a new one for only 38 euros at https://georgakopoulos-moto.car.gr/parts/view/11415165. You could also try Kyle in Texas, he has some old PKs and may be parting one out. Your disk brake setup could be an issue. Got some pics? You sure it's not a PX fork?

You could try a Super fender from Mercado but no plug & play obviously. Looks like this - no smears on the side, those are reflections. https://www.scootermercato.com/Scooter-Parts/Fenders/100820

And it does fit a 10" tire nicely.

Hmm. Might be a PX fork I'll need to double check. Either way the fender fits well enough.

I'll check out the places you recommended.

The crack (at least on the top) are undoubtably caused by not utilizing a fourth mounting point midway down the fork. If you can't repair the one you have, i'd be willing to sell my brand new PLC fender at a good deal. I'm located about 200 hundred miles south of you.

dollars to doughnuts, you have a 20mm PK fork. It would be a huge headache (nightmare?) to have attempted a PX fork swap.

Steel VNB fenders available here if that's what you're after. I'm now so confused... I can't tell much from your pic.

There isn't a pre-drilled hole so I didn't even think about adding one. But I understand what you are saying. Editing or modifying this just wasn't something I was comfortable with. But Ill look at it now and see what I can do.

Sounds like what I really need is a buddy with some metal skills and some old fenders to play with.

If you didn't already have a PK fork, i'd highly recommend to use one of the many other 10" disc brakes kits that are now out there. Modifying a stock steel fender to sit correctly on a PKXL fork with a 10" wheel is a test of endurance, patience, and fairly high metal fabrication skills. I even went above and beyond with my VBA fender install, that i welded additional aluminum material on my PK fork so that the fender would sit straight and have the tire centered. The only time i breathed a sigh of relief during that whole fork/fender portion of the project was right after i got the fender reinstalled after painting it.

You can check it out about halfway down this page here- Project 61 Allstate 208 with 2020 updates (Page 5)

What is in that post is what I was thinking about doing. I love the idea of the fender sitting correctly on the wheel.

What other 10" wheel disc brake conversions are there? I just built this in 2020, but I did t do a lot of research just picked things that I was familiar with.

@whodatschromei was clicking through that build. That's crazy!

I just bought the converted pk fork, hub/disc set, fender from SIP and called it a day. Hahha.

Roland, my ratty P200E, is missing this - can I just use any old nut/bolt/spring washer that fits?
