Hi, I've been told by a vespa mechanic with a good rep, that I have a knocking from the piston. It's a Px125 with a mallossi 177 kit. He noticed it after fitting a new clutch kit for me. This is a scoot I purchased recently that according to the previous owner recently had an engine rebuild by a well known tuner down south (uk). I now take that with a pinch of salt lol. What I'm asking is, what would be a rough price for a strip and rebuild ( engine out of frame). I have a limited budget so I'm toying with having a go by myself or getting the pros to have a look. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Tia.

Lots of Malossi kits have piston rattle. I wouldn't worry about it…
