New tools! So many fiddly broken wires and connections in the Stella, I just had to have new tools. Had to. Really.

Ha!

I thought the best part of a project was getting blotto on vino after fapping unsuccessfully with electrical gremlins all weekend.

... no, wait... that may be the worst part.

All you need to do is change the word "after" to "before". Problem solved, no?

I would say first engine start. Never gets old.

But the best part is when get that rebuilt engine to the point where you trust it and feel like you could ride it anywhere.

Definitely not for me. Because when i'm at the point to when it finally starts, it means the very next step is to create a jetting thread here that will undoubtedly be 5~10 pages long.

My favorite part of the project is right after i get the second coat of primer on. Once the primer is on, the scooter now finally is looking fairly complete.

And for me, I feel the exact opposite, because at that point, I feel the obligation to see the paint work through to the end, which in my case is a whole lot of color sanding and prep work between me and the final shininess.

My favourite part is the teardown to component parts

Follower closely by doing engine rebuilds.

My rebuilding days are long behind me. But like so many here having the pleasure of a first time start and perhaps holding an idle is a rare pleasure. I might also say that I find a real shot of endorphins the first time I lay eyes on the scoot I end up buying. It normally takes a while but sooner or later a guy takes you into his backyard or his garage and there it is. I really like that moment.

Yea, the trust! 100% the faith in getting home.

Best part - taking delivery of all the parts needed to do the job properly

Worst Part - finding the mistakes the person picking it made or finding "no stock" against an item that was necessary
