Hello all!
I have just discovered that the bolts holding the exhaust bracket are missing - the top one has snapped off leaving the threaded bit inside, and the lower one has clearly rattled and wiggled free and just fallen out along the way.
I am prepared for the ordeal of getting the snapped one out, but I just can't seem to find the spec of the bolts i would need to buy to replace them.
Can anyone point me to a shop link (UK preferably) or just let me know the spec so i at least know what to look for?

Image below to show which ones i am talking about...

Many thanks for your help!

I am not in front of a PC to verify directly, but I would think these show up on a parts diagram. I usually view the diagrams at AF1 Racing, in case that helps.

Welcome to Modern Vespa! And good luck fixing up this bike! Let us know how you get on.

An original screw is not required. The size of the screw told you Jimc, it should have an internal six -key edges, the strength of the screw should be greater than 8.8. You buy it in a regular screw store.

No need for stronger than 8.8 - it's going into aluminum! You don't want to strip the threads, so obey the torque requirements - a tad of blue Loctite will prevent them disappearing again.

It should be Allen or Torx - either will do.

If the threads are partially stripped already (they might well be with escaping screws) then get an M8 x 1.25 thread repair set. Helicoil or whatever.

Sorry, I probably expressed myself incorrectly, 8.8 is not the tightening torque but the strength of the screws (hardness of the metal), from 10 is an extra hard screw for heavy loads.

Those screws really do not need to be harder than 8.8! The shear load isn't that great, honest! And I never assumed you were referring to torque measurements.
