Hi

My key broke off in ignition lock. And so I ordered a replacement barrel and managed to follow the guides to replace that. Big achievement for me!

However, I have no idea how to get the seat lock out so I can replace that lock cylinder too?

I see there was an original post using a flat kitchen knife and tried that but very tricky. Any help please? TIA

You posted in the wiki section, when you probably want it in General in order to get visibility.

I guess there are two parts: 1. Opening the seat with no key, and 2. Replacing the lock cylinder.

Are you asking about #1?

For #2, it seems there's a little clip that holds the barrel in place

Thanks. Solved using kitchen knife approach. Opened seat then replaced Barrell
