Hi,

Bit of a newbie here, just bought a 2022 Vespa 300 Super tech with 9,000 miles on it.

A little bit of service history , 600 mile serive, and 6,000 mile service completed.

No mention of coolant flush or brake fluid flush, I have flushed the coolant and will change the brake fluid next week.

I have a general question about the intervals for the belt and roller change.

I believe the belt and rollers / sliders need changing every 6,000 miles.

Is this more of an inspect and measure the belt at 6,000 miles and assess whether it needs to be replaced.

I will be doing my own servicing apart from valve check, as the dropping of the engine and checking valves looks a bit of a faff.

Sadly, the Vespa is gone. Current machines: 2013 BMW R1200R, 2026 Royal Enfield 650 Classic (the pretty teal one).

The belt in my '22 GTS300 HPE shredded itself into a stringy pulp at 6200 miles, probably hastened a bit (so I was informed) by the higher percentage of highway miles I tended to ride it in my area.

As such, I would take that 6000 mile belt changeout schedule seriously on the HPE GTS's.

Thanks, 6,000 miles it is then.

Just changed the brake fluid, front was easy.

Rear brake took some flushing and bleeding.

Might change the rear pads from the stock issue to something with a bit more bite.
