I can fly myself to Copenhagen for 1400$. 23kg of check on and 7kg of carry on. 6 meals. More movies than I can watch. Warm refresher towels. 14hr stopover in Singapore for free.
SIP want 80$ to post me a seat cover and a gasket.

Had a doc appt at the AF Academy at 1030.
Arrived early like a good boy, waited my turn to check in, "oh hi yeah we moved you to 1325 instead. See you then!!" Super stoked about the heads-up. At least it was mid 40s so warm enough to ride back for the new time |

Took my truck in to the dealer for an oil change and the recommended 48k mile service (since I'm at 52k miles). I also wanted to have them check the radio because the XM saved stations are behaving oddly.
Instead of the saved stations being in numerical order, like they have been for the previous 3.5 years, they now randomly populate the list. And sometimes there are duplicates in the list. But when I touch on a station, the station it changes to is not the one it was displaying. https://youtube.com/shorts/OgM8FpFQfEs?feature=share I showed the service writer what it was doing, and he agreed it was odd, and confirmed that I'm still under warranty (5 years/60k miles), but that Hyundai now has a "Radio Swap" program. I have to leave my truck with them, at which point they order in a new radio. My truck has to remain with them until the new radio arrives and is installed. The timeframe is anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of months. If I don't leave my truck with them, the Parts Department will cancel the order. So I'm now on a waiting list for a loaner vehicle. Once my name reaches the top of that list they'll give me a call to come in to start that swap process. Then I get to drive the loaner for as long as it takes them to complete it. It seems to me that it would be a much better system to simply order the new radio and have me come in once it arrives. That way someone who truly needs a loaner vehicle can have access to it. |

old as dirt wrote: sounds like screen delamination issues. chrysler has that issue on multiple vehicles, primary 2013-2022 , the newer stuff they stopped using a glue like substance between the diffuser screen and the display. I replace my delam unit my self (out of warranty) on my 2020 ram for $400 from cuescreens. actually a much better display more high def. Ram wants $1500 for parts and of course $400 for install. Took me a whole 6-7 min to remove the dash piece and then 10 min to swap units and 6 min to reinstall. only need a phillips screwdriver If so, I'm not sure how that would affect the data being duplicated multiple times, and incorrectly. And while it is a touch screen, I can also navigate using the arrow keys on the steering wheel, which shouldn't be affected by the screen delaminating. The replacement will be covered under warranty, so I don't mind going through the process. What bugs me is the fact that I could be driving their loaner vehicle for several weeks, when my truck drives perfectly fine. The SiriusXM interface is not a safety or vehicle functionality issue, it is an occupant comfort issue. It makes no sense to have my truck sit there unused and have me use one of their few loaners, when I could use my truck and another customer who needs the loaner could use it. |
