On the LML in the Motovespa :

R-W 107.5 O
G-W .429 kO
R-G .535 kO

OK... I took the CDI out of the Motovespa (which runs flawlessly) and plugged it in and it's exactly the same. Compared to the plug flash of a points ignition it looks wimpy to me. Might be just cranking speed and the KS gear on this thing is worn so it catches late. I have an HT in-line flash thing that shows the same orange flash on both CDIs so maybe it's all just fine.

The low tension coil is probably dying. Values are the ones below, no need to measure R-G you just add the values of the LT coil and pickup coil...

G-W: 500±20 Ohms
R-W: 110±5 Ohms

Safis answered it spot on before I got back to this.

Your readings are on the low side, even for an LML. The coil on an LML is typically a lower resistance than the genuine PX and can read and function as low as 450 O.

Time to rebuild or replace tbe stator plate IMHO as the values are way down on spec.
