Modern Vespa

There comes a time (for some) when one's accumulated possessions become more of a burden than any pleasure they might provide.

That time found me earlier this year, and I began to just get rid of things that don't really matter to me anymore. I just started to dump things at 'Fire Sale' prices, and giving away others in an effort to materially simplify my life.

Except our motorbikes of course, I'm not THAT far gone.....yet.

Anyway, I'll use what was, three years ago, my little 'Music & Art' room in the lower level of our house, as an example.

It was was crammed with guitars, amplifiers, and almost every piece of related musical accessory imaginable, until very recently.

The first photo is from about three years ago, the second, just yesterday...can you spot the difference?

You can fit a couple of scooters in there now.

De-cluttering was the best thing I ever did in the UK before selling a 4-bed detached house and buying a nearby small flat while also moving to the US. Just about everything went - and I've not regretted a single item (though I've had to buy a few replacement tools over here).

On what shall you play Sturgis? The official song of er, well.. Sturgis. Or Free Bird, for that matter.

I've patronized this place way too much...
