On the electrical diagram shown by Scooterhelp, it shows a stator with 3 coils: the ignition coil and 2 lighting coils. However, the stator of the VN2 I am working on, has 4 coils. The fourth coil is smaller and wound with a very thin wire.

What is the purpose of this coil, and what colour wire does it have?

Probably a dedicated brake light supply, would normally have a blue wire.

Only problem is this VN2 does not have a brake light or even a switch at the brake lever
