Modern Vespa

I'm slowly (very slowly) gathering the bits I need for an oil change on my Beverly 350 2017. It's been a utter ballsache, as so many places don't have this or that in stock. But I'm nearly there. Final thing is the oil.

Alledgedly i need 15w 50, which itself doesn't seem to be an off-the-shelf item for any motor shop, and the few motorbike places near me don'yt have it either.

I've read some threads on this site about it, and it's all numbers! Far far too many numbers! Honestly, I'm lost as to what to get. I need some help!

Not quite. That's synthetic blend. You want a full synthetic like Motul 7100. Other than that, it meets the specs: 50W15, MA2. You'll need a little over 1 liter, so get two bottles.

It appears you're searching for "15w 50 engine oil malossi". Take the "malossi" out of the search, and change "15w 50" to "15w50" and you'll get better results: "15w50 engine oil".

I use Castrol Power1 in my scooters.

Many thanks. Actually just found a motoX shop who has stock, not too far, so will head there to get it. They say they stock Motorex, which hopefully will ne suitable. I know the buys in there from years back, so they'll keep me right.

Also don't forget to change the transmission,oil occasionally, mine we totally black after 10000km (cause the clutch is in the transmission oil).

Thanks. the transmission oil is the next task, once the engine oil is done!

Note here that you need a syringe of some sort to get the oil in there, as it doesn't have a filler hole.

US folk please note that elsewhere in the world there is no such differentiation as "synthetic" vs "fully synthetic" - It's either synthetic or not. The difference is a purely US sales pitch invention.

I have seen where the European specs for oils on vehicles can be/ is different than US vehicles. Not sure why.
