I have a small frame cast iron Malossi 136 paired with a dellorto 25 Malossi reed kit. My problem is a rich first half of throttle.

My full throttle pulls are good no matter what mains I put in (100,105,110)

My pilot jets I've tried one at a time are 45,50,52 with no improvements.

I dropped the needle to the first notch and that seemed to improve things a little, but not much.

Any next steps advice?

Also I'm at 3000 ft elevation with a Polini Banana

Atomiser and/or needle is too rich. AQ262 and D22 needle seem to be a popular combination.

Thank you for this info, Jack. I received my atomizer today. I couldn't find any AQ262s in the U.S., and the combination you recommended works fantastically.

This forum has taken me from clueless to slightly inept.

Again, thank you, Jack!!
