I'm particularly interested in seeing how fast a stock Kymco AK 550 Premium might accelerate, and go on the interstate, with around 380lb of weight on it, am not able to get the KymcoForum website working to sign up there.

I'm also interested in knowing the same about the V300i Wolf, while fully loaded, 340lb.

I'm willing to paypal a coffee or something for youtube videos proving it.

have you asked anyone in your AO who has one if they'd let a really fat person try?

Top speed isn't that much dependent on weight, only in as much as the slight extra rolling resistance of the tyres. That's assuming they've been aired up properly. Top speed is hugely dependent on wind resistance unless the rev limiter is reached - and that's the final limit.

A fully loaded Vespa GTS300 will still reach the rev limit at ~84mph even with a huge load on board - myself plus three 50lb sacks of concrete mix gets to ~340lb, and I've done that!

Limits in gts/gtv 250/300/310 ecu bins * rear wheel speed without the speedo exageration. with normal tires and pressures is with in 1% of gps.

(Replying to a PM <sigh>) No - weight will definitely affect acceleration - but you were mainly (it seemed) asking about top speed.

Top speed will only be affected by weight if the rolling resistance of the tyres is thereby allowed to increase. Upping the pressure alleviates this.
