Yeah, I know it's highly searchable but opinions are always in flux based on the position of the stars.

The bike is a GT and it's for the rear, 130/70 12, if that matters.

I'm looking primarily for the maximum tread life miles/price ratio with performance lower on the list. I am a slow and conservative rider. I almost never ride in the rain or on unpaved roads.

One tire I looked at (I can't remember the brand) said it was bias ply. Is that the standard? Car tires seem to always have an "R" for radial construction in the size designation. I don't recall seeing bike tires with an R in the size description.

I have had great success with Michelin City Grip 2 tires. Usually get between 5-6k miles out of rear

Here's another recommendation for City Grips. And AFAIK motorcycle tires are always bias ply.

I changed the back tire on Ghost, a 2023 Vespa GTS 300, a few months ago.

It was a Pirelli Angel, 140/70/12.

It was just short of 8000 miles and still had tread, but I had plugged it and wanted to get a new tire on it for upcoming rides.

Of those 8000 miles, 2000 of them were from Guymon, Oklahoma to Hilton Head, SC, riding fast on the Cannonball.

The replacement was a new Michelin City Grip 2, back to 130/70/12.

Both the Angel and City Grip2 are very good tires.

Another vote for City grip tires. They are just good rubber.

City Grip is what I ordered. I've used them before. Only about $12 more than a Kenda. Not the place to scrimp.
