to flush coolant, is it better to remove the three screws in center of pump or cut and replace clamp on radiator hose?

Basic coolant service...? Lower hose clamp only. Here's why. 1. the three phillips screws can be a bear to get off. 2. you only miss a shot glass of liquid by leaving the cover in place. 3. no chance of having a gasket problem if you don't remove it 4. less likely to disrupt the other two hose clamps causing leaks. The only time I pull that cover off is when removing the whole water pump housing.
