I replaced my Polini Banana with an EGIG Super
Banana touring.

It was very easy to install and the upgrade paid off well. The powerband is very smooth, but the high rpm range increased nicely with tons of torque.

I'm using it with a Malossi 136 cast iron, and Malossi Reed kit.

It's very rideable, but I need to up the gearing a bit.

I was on the fence after reading it required frame mods, but that was with a PK which EGIG states it won't work on a PK.

Long story long, it is a great upgrade.

Thanks, utahusker - no frame mods required on your V90, right? Sounds like this might be a straightforward way to get some more power from my stock ET3 without hacking it around too much

V oodoo - $308 from SIP; €339 direct from EGIG. Both plus shipping, of course.

It's very difficult to take pics of the frame mods, when there are none. I can show the battery compartment if that means anything.

The price was $306 (U.S) minus 10% from the last promotion, making it $275 plus shipping from SIP.

No hacking at all. It was a better fit than the Polini pipe, which rubbed. It took me about an hour to install.

Sorry, I could have been more descriptive v oodoo. I don't have a PK, I have a V90. The reference was from an earlier thread stating it needed mods, but that was with a PK.

I haven't seen any other info on this site about this pipe, that's why I posted about it.

EGIG claims that their Super Banana touring fits the PK frame with no modifications. The do specify that their "sport" version did require frame mods to the PK. I had to hack the unholy heck out of my PK frame to fit their touring version. The included mounting bracket and rubber insulators are both weak. I expect them to both eventually break. There are probably better thought out pipes out on the market.

That was your thread I was referring to. My brackets are very strong, but if they do break (doubtful), I have a welder. Maybe they have improved the design since you bought yours years ago.

All I can say is it was the easiest exhaust install I've ever encountered.
